K&K Busreisen is a family-owned company from the state of Burgenland in Austria. This summer, you are offering several trips to the European Football Championship for Austrian fans as part of your travel schedule. What has been the response?

We are very pleased with the response; all of the trips are well filled. The Austrian fans really can't wait for it to start. But we don't just transport fans, we are also the official transport partner of ÖFB, the Austrian Football Association.

Since when has K&K Busreisen been the transport partner of ÖFB?

We have been an official transport partner since January 2009, but we also did occasional trips between 2006 and 2008. We drive all the ÖFB national teams, i.e. the men’s team, the women’s team and the junior teams. We usually also transport opposing national teams.

Do you also drive the ÖFB coaches yourself on these journeys?

I myself have been at the wheel of the team coach for the men’s national team since the official start of our partnership with ÖFB in 2009. So I am really looking forward to the tournament this year when I will be driving the ÖFB’s team coach for the media partner.

And which vehicles do you use as team coaches for the Austrian national teams?

At the moment, the ÖFB's team coach is a Setra TopClass 516 HDH built in 2023. We also use a Mercedes‑Benz Tourismo 16 RHD for the ÖFB teams, and a great new addition – another 2024 Setra TopClass 516 HDH – has supplemented our fleet since June 2024.

What special features do the ÖFB team coaches have?

The coaches all have ÖFB livery so are very eye-catching from the outside. Inside the premium vehicles, players are greeted by Luxline seats with adjustable head rests. The additional space between the seats is important to let players stretch their legs. Furthermore, every coach has between one and three face-to-face tables for holding meetings or simply having a relaxed chat. Hot and cold drinks are provided by an espresso machine and multiple cool boxes on board. Seats come with 220 V and USB connections. The on-board sound system and multiple TV/laptop monitors also ensure a constant supply of entertainment.

Safety is always of the utmost importance, not only for team coaches. What safety and assistance systems are the team vehicles equipped with?

Our Setra HDHs are equipped with all currently available safety and assistance systems: Adaptive cruise control, Active Drive Assist 2, Active Brake Assist 5, Predictive Powertrain Control, Sideguard Assist. In addition, they come with a 360° camera system for all-round visibility and surround lighting for reversing. All of this helps us to uphold the highest safety standards when on the road.

One last question: What are you personally looking forward to the most during the upcoming tournament in Germany?

I am particularly looking forward to being there live in person at all the ÖFB matches.
