The MultiClass 500 LE makes drivers feel as comfortable as possible. Setra has developed three cockpit versions for the various fields of operation of the Low Entry.

The Setra MultiClass 500 LE offers customised cockpits for every operation profile. The Basic cockpit is the high-quality workplace at touring coach level for intercity travel. Basic City is the all-round version for combined urban and intercity travel. It is available in conjunction with a two-leaf inward swivelling door. The newly developed City cockpit has been systematically designed for urban use. It complies with the specifications of the VDV (Association of German Transport Companies).

Clear from the first glance: Setra designers have developed a workplace of typical Setra quality with great style and meticulous attention to detail. The cockpit has an outstanding look and touch with its functional layout and exquisite material quality.

The understated colour concept of the cockpit combines glare-free black in the upper area with neutral greys in the lower area. The closed rear panel is optionally available in opaque plastic or plexiglass. The driver’s protective door can be reinforced on request with a protective screen – up to full-surface glazing across the entire door width.

The equipment in all three cockpits is exemplary. Multifunction steering wheel, perfectly legible instruments with a centrally arranged colour display, many compartments for everyday items, from drinks bottles to the large driver’s bag – everything has been taken into account. Companies can choose between two makes of driver’s seat. These can be fitted in different positions as required. They are also variably adjustable and can be individually equipped. No question, the new Setra MultiClass 500 LE makes it as easy as possible for drivers.

The new Setra MultiClass 500 LE also helps drivers with systems and technologies tailored to their needs. An electronic parking brake with a wide range of functions and a rain/light sensor are included as standard. Optional equipment such as the 360° camera system or the MirrorCam instead of conventional exterior mirrors offer a perfect all-round view. The Predictive Powertrain Control intelligent cruise control can identify almost all town signs, roundabouts and intersections on intercity routes and, in conjunction with the fully automated GO 250–8 PowerShift transmission, adapts the speed when entering built-up areas or on bends.

In the event of an emergency, numerous assistance systems output warnings or even actively intervene to help drivers. With these, the MultiClass 500 LE sets the benchmark: Preventive Brake Assist 2, Frontguard Assist, Sideguard Assist 2, now active on both sides, Attention Assist – the list is just as long as the Setra MultiClass 500 LE.
