The Setra MultiClass 500 LE makes access for passengers with reduced mobility as smooth as possible. To make it easier to board, this low-entry bus can even kneel.
One for all.
How the Setra MultiClass 500 LE ensures greater accessibility.
The new Setra MultiClass 500 LE leaves no one at the bus stop. The kneeling function enables it to lower itself at bus stops. Whether using a walker, wheelchair or pushchair – passengers with reduced mobility in particular benefit from the low-entry design with low-floor technology at the front and centre doors. It also has additional ramp installation options for better accessibility.
Very accommodating: the MultiClass 500 has ideal boarding conditions for passengers with reduced mobility. A wheelchair ramp is available at the front door. At the centre door, you can choose between a mechanical folding ramp, a double ramp with a combination of electric and manual ramp or an electric modular ramp.
Open from front to back. For the first time, the new MultiClass 500 LE is available with a manual ramp at the front door. In the low-entry model, this works both with a double-width inward swivelling door and with an outward swivelling door or swivelling/sliding door. This means that wheelchair users can also enter via the driver’s area and easily find a seat in the centre door area. For this to be feasible, the inside must be furnished without platforms and with individual or parent-child seating on at least one side.
One of three versions always fits. Depending on the door variant and tyre size, either a manual folding ramp or a double ramp with a combination of electric and manual ramp is available at the centre door. The third option is an electrically operated modular ramp.
The doors of the MultiClass 500 LE are always open to wheelchair users. The bus can be accessed via the centre door through double-wing inward swivelling, outward swivelling or sliding centre doors. A single-wing outward swivelling door is a further option.
Wheelchairs are securely fastened either with practical outward connectors and straps or with straps recessed in the platforms depending on design.
Helping passengers with reduced mobility to stay on schedule. Pushing a button informs the driver if assistance is required when boarding or alighting the bus.
